IT Support Technician

This is a Full-time position in Saint-Laurent, QC posted March 7, 2019.

The incumbent is a responsibility to assist the IT and building manager in the design and implementation of IT projects, and to provide user support on both the hardware and software sides.

[TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES]

  • Maintain the computer equipment (computers, telephone system, audio-visual system, security and servers) in Montreal and Quebec City up to date.
  • Participate in the development, implementation or implementation of IT projects.
  • Possessed intermediate knowledge of ERP P21
  • Participate in the development and execution of special IT-related projects for clients.
  • Stay constantly informed about the latest IT developments.
  • Perform all other IT related tasks

[KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED]

  • 3 to 5 years experience in technical support
  • BAC or DEC in computer support
  • Very good knowledge of the Apple ecosystem and product, iMac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Id and iCloud management.
  • Operating Systems: Extensive knowledge of Windows server 2008, 2012, 2016, Active directory, Service remote desktop, Windows 7, 8, 10, and very good knowledge of Mac Os.
  • Networking: In-depth knowledge of the tcp/ip IPv4 network and subnet addressing. Wireless network, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS network. Preferred network certification.
  • IP Telephony: Knowledge of Asterisk, call plan and IP telephony requirements. (latency…)
  • Virtualization: In-depth knowledge of virtualization principles, especially Vmware.
  • Security: Intermediate knowledge of firewall systems, Nat, Service, Routing, access rule, knowledge of SonicWall an asset.
  • Backup: Knowledge of archiving principles and disaster recovery plan, knowledge of Veeam back-up 9.5 an asset.
  • Database: Knowledge of relational databases and SQL query data extraction. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Filemaker and navicat an asset.
  • Web server: Intermediate knowledge of web servers and how they work, knowledge of a CMS like Drupal or Processwire an asset.
  • Email: In-depth knowledge of the software and protocol involved in managing email, pop, imap, exchange or WEB.
  • Clouds: good knowledge of cloud services such as Dropbox and Google drive.
  • Miscellaneous: good knowledge of the Office suite on both Apple and Windows. Adobe suite, such as Acrobat pro, Photoshop, illustrator, Indesign.
