POSITION: Usher COMPANY: Toronto Blue Jays LOCATION: Rogers Centre SUMMARY The Toronto Blue Jays Organization is seeking hard-working individuals with a dedication to customer service and a passion for enhancing the fan experience.

This role requires a willingness to assist fans in a polite, friendly manner, strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to problem solve.

Ushering staff are primarily responsible for the correct seating and directions of fans according to their ticket, proactively monitor an assigned area for safety, and ensure fans are upholding the Fan Code Conduct allowing for all fans to have a positive experience.

Applicants must be available to work all 81 home games including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Staff are expected to attend a pre-game meeting before gates open.

Candidates should have some experience working with people in a customer-service capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet and assist all fans with a welcoming, friendly attitude Checking each ticket completely, noting date, level, section, row and seat, at all times.

Direct or accompany, if possible, all fans to their correct seat Monitor section and surrounding area for congestion, encouraging fans to continue moving through spaces Receive and act on any fan complaints with a warm attitude and problem-solving approach Monitor safety of all fans Maintain an understanding of Rogers Centre policies and procedures, and act accordingly Report any incident (major or minor) on an Incident Report Card and submit report to your supervisor Ensure fans are adhering to COVID-19 health and safety policies and procedures Be knowledgeable on the stadium cleaning protocols, assisting with sanitizing high touch areas and bringing larger cleanliness concerns to the attention of the facilities team Ensure application of WE CARE services principles in all interactions with fans Be a safety ambassador by following and enforcing all public health guidelines for the health and safety all Rogers Centre employees and fans The Toronto Blue Jays will continue to follow guidelines from municipal, provincial, and federal public health authorities and will implement the most up to date measures for the safety of our employees and fans.

These measures may be adjusted, but we anticipate that they will include physical distancing, face coverings, health screenings, and COVID-19-specific health and safety training.

QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent problem solving, judgment and negotiation skills Strong ability to be assertive and influential Excellent oral and written communication skills complimented with a friendly and professional manner A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills You must be able and interested in supporting a team environment Available to work all 81 home games including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
