Salary(Grade:11) Hiring salary range $78959-$98,177 Position Purpose Evaluates the users business and software requirements and develops new or enhances existing or off-the-shelf computer applications.

Manages medium to major projects and may be required to supervise the work of others.

Essential Qualifications University degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of experience developing and implementing software applications.Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Understanding of SOA design principles and best practicesExperience developing, documenting and securing APIsExperience writing and running automated testingKnowledge of development using node.Js and JavaKnowledge of industry standards and best practices for securityExperience using SDLC tools like Confluence, JIRA, GITLabExperience implementing services that interact with an Oracle and MS SQL Server DatabaseKnowledge of containerization technologies like DockerKnowledge of University application architecture and integrations like: Student Portal, Student Information System (uoCampus), Queue Management, Student Card system, etc.Knowledge of University policies, guidelines, procedures and standards regarding system and software development and deployment.BASH Shell scripting knowledge on LinuxExperience in providing supervision, guidance, leadership and feedback to project teams and junior resources.Analytical skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, debug and repair complex programming issues.Ability to proactively keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.Ability to communicate technical concepts to users.

Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written).
