The Systems Engineer will have a demonstrated record of excellence and ability to successfully complete new challenges in multidisciplinary, collaborative environments.

The Systems Engineer will be part of the Systems Engineering team located in Ottawa, Canada and will provide system engineering support throughout the project execution cycle from specification and design, through development, integration, test and acceptance to integrate communication, navigation, sensor, and mission systems on civilian and military platforms.

Key Accountabilities: Requirements elicitation and decomposition towards subsystem elements including subcontracted items; Requirements derivationand development for subsystem elements; Technical subcontract management including management of work scope and compliance of the (subcontractor) supplied solution; Development of the preliminary and detailed designs for the system and subsystem elements; Production of technicaldocumentation to capture the system and subsystem designs including the architecture, interfaces and installation elements; Support the developmentof verification and validation artifacts including plans and procedures; Implementation and integration of the system and subsystem designs; and Resolution of technical issues arising during the implementation, integration and testing of the system and subsystem elements.

Key Requirements: University or College Degree in information systems, engineering or a related field or equivalent At least 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas communication systems, sensor systems, and/or networking and security.

This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

All applicants must be able to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
