For more information, visit www.Telesat.Com.PURPOSE OF JOBAs a Cloud Engineer you will provide technical expertise in support of the Telesat LEO system hybrid cloud platform.

This includes participation in the overall design of the hybrid cloud platform, automating the platform, and operation.

You will work in collaboration with other teams to support the development process in enhancing the solutions to support enterprise grade performance, availability, security, compliance and cost management.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, implement, and maintain the hybrid cloud platform built around public cloud and on premises private cloud.Design, implement and maintain the continuous deployment of services by developing code as infrastructure.Design, implement, and support the cloud platform infrastructure monitoringManaging the hybrid cloud platform in accordance with our enterprise security guidelines.Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they escalate into problems.Education & Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent practical experience.At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.Production level experience with Microsoft Azure, GCP or AWS.Production level experience in building, maintaining & supporting a KubernetesPlatforms (Rancher, EKS, AKS, GKE).Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer.Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD best practice concepts considered an assetCreative problem-solving skills and strong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong written and oral English communication skillsDECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION:Decision MakingIn this role, the incumbent will have influence on the architecture of the platform and infrastructure for the LEO program.

They will need to make recommendations and decisions based on their experience.The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
