A new HyperBlue startup within IBM is seeking a Technical Leader & Full Stack Developer who will play an integral leading role in building a new innovative and transformative conversational AI solution.

You will be using the next generation of tools in the cloud, AI, mobile, and analytics.

Specifically, you will: Lead creation of a new conversational AI platform including overall architecture, APIs, data stores and user experiences Embrace DevOps Culture, participate in on-call rotation and mentor team members Educate yourself on and advocate for development best practices across team members and stakeholders Actively participate in code and design reviews Work closely with teammates to complete features Leverage modern tools and techniques to develop clean, efficient and reusable code Lead the team on security & compliance Work within an agile team with a team-first culture and fail-fast motto Review and estimate requirements while working with your team to plan agile sprints related to application and process development roadmaps Qualifications: Previous technical lead skills or readiness to take the next step in one’s career Previous experience working with stakeholders across the organization and with customers Personal experience with a devops model where developers are responsible for and actively operating the system they are building Previous experience working with modern web technologies such as Angular 4 or React and TypeScript, NodeJS An asset if you have previous experience bringing new technology solutions to life Solid understanding of conversational AI (i.e., chatbots, intelligent chat, virtual assistants), natural language processing (NLP), natural language understanding (NLU), and the leading platforms for developing conversational AI solutions Solid understanding of mobile-first, content-driven responsive design and development Solid understanding and experience developing new APIs and working with existing APIs and databases Can implement modern agile development processes like CI/CD This position is open to be filled in Ottawa or Markham Must be eligible/legally entitled to work in Canada Required Technical and Professional Expertise 5 years of working with stakeholders and customers 5 years of Agile Development 4 years of HTML5 and CSS3 3 years of DevOps experience including Elasticsearch, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes 3 years of Angular or other Model Binding Frameworks 3 years of Node.js Experience 3 years of working with conversational AI (chatbots, virtual assistants), including underlying technologies such as NLP, NLU and supporting platforms Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Understanding of Bash/Python
– Generally open to being a polyglot.
