SR Financial Analyst

Inventory management is a core activity for the retail business and shrink is a key focus for the on-going success.

This role includes collecting and analyzing data and then generating information and insights.

Understanding business needs through on-going interaction with stakeholders is also critical part of this role.

What You’ll Do: Create and maintain weekly/periodic reporting to track financial shrink performance Provide analytical support and insights to enable users to make sound business decisions; Summarize vast amounts of in-store and operational data to develop reports and models to solve business problems KPI development and measurement
– inventory, fixed O&A, vendor performance, etc.

Monitor trends in business performance and develop predictive forecasts as required Variance analysis on results and identification of trends Maintain and monitor existing shrink projects (P&E
– process and efficiency) Provide milestone status to project owners Participate in brain-storming and developing shrink P&E initiatives Work with business partners to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through enriched reporting, data analytics and insights.

Adhoc projects and analysis What You’ll Need: Post-Secondary education in Business or related field, or equivalent related experience Advanced skills in Excel/Access and PowerPoint Experience in SQL/SAS Experience in data-mining and business intelligence (BI) tools such as Microstrategy, Teradata, Power BI SAP experience is preferred Financial experience in a corporate retail environment ideal Self-starter with ability to thrive in ambiguity Core Competencies: Proactive individual with attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage various projects simultaneously to strict deadlines Strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships, and provide sufficient influence to achieve success Excellent verbal and written communication skills Creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Be flexible and able to adapt to change in a positive manner Ability to self-organize multiple tasks well and to complete them on time with a clear focus on quantitative and/or qualitative results; How You’ll Succeed: At Loblaw, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture.
