Sr. DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking an DevOps Engineer to join the Connected Home
– Assisted Channels teamwhich serves our Care, Retail and Field Sales agents.

You will work with the DevOps team, our Cloud Infrastructure team and application teams to shape the build and release systems that will help to empower and deliver capabilities throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
– Design and develop automation solutions for application build and deployment
– Enhance and maintain existing solutions bringing in lessons learnt and best practices
– Proactively recommend solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of different approaches
– Collaborate with multiple teams both upstream and downstream for development and issue resolution
– Follow industry best practices in all development activities
– Identify functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the stakeholders and knowledge of the DevOps tools and processes
– Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment
– Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
– Support the Release management processes including deployment of changes from staging to production for bi-weekly, hotfix releases and ad-hoc changes
– Working closely with the Release and Scrum teams, including coordinating with the delivery, and QA teams to plan for upcoming release scope and deployment activities through the DevOps lifecycle.

– Document detailed designs and diagrams for new tools, processes and automation flows including required testing and debugging based on the high-level designs and requirements
– Administer the DevOps tools and their environments
– Support troubleshooting in dev, staging and production environments Preferred Qualifications:
– Leads solution designs, documents, architecture and creates high-level design documents
– Helps determine/enrich coding standards along with the senior development team and ensures consistent adoption by developers
– Conducts code reviews, mentors and coaches’ team on architectures, solutions and coding practices
– Proactively provides objective feedback to consultants and development partners to ensure proper execution of projects
– 5 years of DevOps including design and development of CI/CD experience in an agile/iterative delivery structure and is viewed as a subject matter expert Requirements:
– Hands on experiences with Java and/or Python, with proficiency in at least one
– Experience with Linux systems
– Experience with public cloud infrastructure and solution design concepts (preferably Azure)
– Hands on experience with Unix commands and scripting
– Experience with SCM like Github, BitBucket or GitLab, with knowledge of branching and release concepts
– Experience in working with distributed teams situated locally or globally in different geographies
– Flexible and adaptive, team player
– Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work, multi-task and well organized
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Computer Engineering
– Experience in building and supporting automation, version control, and overall security of a CI/CD pipeline
– Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise
– Flexible schedule: willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
– Experience with Azure Cloud environment and products like Azure DevOps, AKS, Azure VM etc.

– Understanding of Rest APIs and microservices, containers and Http Server like Ngnix etc.
