Solution Architect

CGI is currently looking for a Solutions Architect to support a team engaged in evolving and maintaining a Closed Loop Automation Platform for a 5G wireless networking at one of our Telecom customer locations. Based on ONAP, a leading open source orchestration platform, the solution architect will contribute to the upstream ONAP development of key projects, lead the ongoing solution architecture evolution of the customer solution, and support the implementation and deployment of the solution on site with the team on behalf of the customer.

• Ensure appropriate levels of Architecture and design documents are maintained
• Work in keeping the NSO platform in line with ONAP open-source platform.
• Lead the control loop automation architecture & roadmap
• Define end to end solutions for control loop automation uses cases
• Working in a global team of developers from multiple companies & multiple geographic regions.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers & automation experts following DevOps practices.
• Support the SRE and DevOps teams for deploying ONAP components in production
• Participate in code reviews coming in all the repository of Policy Framework project from developers.
• Leading the design and participating in the developing of major features for key projects upstream in the ONAP open-source community.

• Should be an experienced solution architect in telecom OSS software integration with a strong background in Java development and microservices using Kubernetes orchestration
• Expertise in design & architecture of Event-driven, Cloud-Native Microservices architectures.
• 5+ years relevant industry experience in a wireless OSS domain with recent experience in Network Provisioning Orchestration & Automation.
• Must have strong hands-on experience in Closed Loop Automation in a wireless networking context.
• Highly proficient in Agile ways of working, with full understanding of the best DevOps practices.
• Excellent presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Experience in configuration and troubleshooting microservices in a Kubernetes environment
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technology requirements.
• Experience of working with global teams – with onshore / offshore experience

Qualifications considered to be an asset in this role
• 5G Network Orchestration and Network slicing
• Experience working in public cloud: Google Cloud or AWS
• Experience in managing / contributing to open-source projects
• Developing & maintaining automation testing suites using Automation tools such as Robot Framework.
• Experience Improving the code quality of the projects using tools such as Sonar Cube, Check style etc.
