Software engineer – java


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted January 15, 2020.

On behalf of our valued client in the private sector, we are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer to join their team on a full-time/permanent basis.

Our client works with health care professionals through predictive analytics to make health care providers more efficient.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead a team of front-end engineers to drive projects end to end and get things doneDevelop backend components and RESTful services in Java using the Java Play frameworkConduct design and code reviews and ensure high-quality architecture and codeCollaborate with DevOps and Security on building, deploying, and debugging code.Qualifications and Experience4+ years’ experience as a Software EngineerCompleted post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Programming or related fieldsStrong knowledge of core Java, OOP Concepts, data structures and design patternsStrong knowledge of databases, REST APIs and web based applicationsA passion for writing clean, modular and QA-friendly codeExperience working on enterprise analytics products is considered a significant assetEducation and CertificationsMinimum education required: University Degree or College DiplomaPreferred field of study: Computer ScienceWe appreciate and encourage all applicants, although only those being considered will be contacted.
