Software development manager


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted August 13, 2019.

We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager to drive a team of passionate professionals responsible for the design, analysis and development of a world class Supply Chain Management solution for the Healthcare, third party logistics and retail industries.

Your responsibilities The Manager of Software Development will be responsible for overseeing the development efforts and day to day challenges of a team of developers while helping them perform at their highest level.

You will evaluate existing solutions to collaborate on technical decisions, determine projects and resource schedules, while monitoring project timelines and ensuring that team milestones and goals are met.

You will manage a team of highly skilled and experienced developers having substantial track records at Tecsys and who are focused on the continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, practices and teamwork.What you’ll do Lead and develop teams of developers, lead developers, business analysts and quality analysts Develop and communicate a clear, strategic vision and team goals Uphold quality software delivery and best practices Continually collaborate with the Product Managers and technical leadership to validate plans and ensure delivery of effective solutions Nurture motivation and well-being within the teams Steer team career development, and see to their training needs Oversee and facilitate efficient agile practices Your qualifications: 5+ years in personnel management in a software development environment Experience in team leadership and change management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for teamwork Thirst for challenge, drive and ability to motivate others Experience in team expansion, including hiring, onboarding, training and supervision Deep knowledge and experience of agile values and principles College or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
