Software Development Engineer, Business Insights Job summary Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is storage for the Internet.

Through the use of pioneering techniques in storage & computing, customers can reliably store their data on Amazon’s proven computing infrastructure to achieve virtually limitless storage capacity at minimal cost.

Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that enables customers to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere in the world.

It provides all customers access to the same highly scalable, reliable, secure, fast, inexpensive infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of websites.

The service aims to maximize benefits of scale and to pass those benefits on to the customers.

Storage Insights is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our new team and build products that help customers understand ‘what’ they have, ‘how’ their storage is being used, and the ‘actions’ they can take on their via insights and analytics.

You will focus on the challenges of writing software to handle aggregating every event in S3 efficiently and accurately to make customer recommendations.

You will build solutions that impact a wide range of customers with a focus on standards in coding, testing, and delivery.

Applicant for this role possess solid analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The ability to translate technical requirements through all the levels of the software stack is essential.

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science related fields OR 1 years equivalent experience in software development PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience building large scale systems
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
• Practical experience with software engineering best practices
• Passion for software innovation
