Service Designer

CGI Group

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted March 16, 2023.

Position Description:

Remote (Preference will be to candidates local to the Ottawa area)
Must be eligible for an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance (5+ years living in Canada)

You will be joining a project to create better experiences for the millions of Canadians that use these services each year. As part of a large team of professionals dedicated to creating world-class citizen and user experiences, you will be part of a team who will re-define what Canadians can expect by continuously researching, designing, building and testing with users to deliver services that make a difference in people’s lives.

Service designer designs the end-to-end- journey of a service. Service designer provides evidence-based solutions and work collaboratively with UX researchers, designers and stakeholders. Service Designers research, prototype and test service designs, create customer journey maps and carryout stakeholder management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Design processes to improve user behavior and user experiences
•Design the end-to-end- journey of a service, including visual design
•Provide evidence-based solutions
•Work collaboratively with UX researchers, designers and stakeholders
•Research, prototype and test service designs, create customer personas and customer journey maps, and carryout stakeholder management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•5+ years of experience in a Service Design role.
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Information Technology, Graphic Design or related field
•Experience working in the Access Identity Management domain Designs processes to improve user behaviour, systems at scale, collaboratively with the UX and UI Designers.
•Experience designing client journey maps, personas, and improving service experiences
•Experience with conducting or supporting research to understand the user experience
