Job Purpose Reporting to the Manager, Finance Compensation, the purpose of the Senior Variable Compensation Analyst is to provide analytical insight and support to the Finance Compensation department. The successful applicant will have several years of experience in the calculation of commissions and bonuses as well as plan design and administration. You will leverage your skills using Xactly Incent or similar incentive compensation tools. Key Responsibilities In partnership with the business, create and manage variable compensation plans and related details utilizing JDE ERP and incentive compensation software tools Xactly, SAP Callidus Cloud or similar incentive compensation management tools.Calculate sales commission payouts and ensure accuracy of details.Intimately understand sales compensation policies and procedures to be able to respond to inquiries and articulate plan details clearly to internal teams as required.Audit, review and analyze sales compensation plans to ensure accuracy and consistency. Respond to internal inquiries regarding sales compensation on a timely basis.Offer recommendations to management on the effectiveness of sales compensation plans.Contribute to compensation process review, design, and enhancement through informative data modelling processes and ensure clear documentation. Provide meaningful insight on existing process steps and correct as needed.In partnership with People and Culture, research compensation trends in similar industries; based on findings, recommend changes or updates to existing plans and practices; develop streamlined processes.Liaise with Finance Department to support GL account reconciliations related to sales compensation. Regular review of Sales data, customer and vendor reporting and analysis.Manage existing controls and suggest new internal controls to improve department accuracy and timeliness.Provide backup support to other members of the team.Various reporting and data analysis projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration5+ years of experience with the analysis, design, and administration of sales compensation plans Experience with JD Edwards ERP or similar system preferred.Advanced software application skills particularly MS Excel (Power Query/Pivot) required.Knowledge of Power BI or other BI toolsHigh Accuracy and attention to detail are required.Strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data.Demonstrated experience building models and business processes with clear documentation.A general knowledge of basic accounting principles, and experience with accounting systems or sales reporting are considered an asset.Preference is given to those with knowledge of ICM software (Xactly, SAP Commissions) What you’ll love about us: Every day, over 1500 dedicated employees across Canada focus on providing exceptional customer service and support experiences to private and public sector organizations.
