Position Summary The Senior Systems Engineer will have a demonstrated record of leadership and excellence and will possess the ability to complete new challenges in multidisciplinary, collaborative environments.

The Senior Systems Engineer will have demonstrable experience in the design and integration of military ground based air defence systems including, but not limited to, radar, tactical data links, Command and Control (C2) systems, and secure voice and data communication systems.

The Senior Systems Engineer will be part of the Systems Engineering team located in Ottawa, Canada and will provide system engineering support throughout the project execution cycle from specification and design, through development, integration, test and acceptance to integrate communication, navigation, sensor, and mission systems on commercial and military platforms.

Key Responsibilities Requirements elicitation and decomposition towards subsystem elements including subcontracted items; Requirements derivation and development for subsystem elements; Technical subcontract management including management of work scope and compliance of the (subcontractor) supplied solution; Development of the preliminary and detailed designs for system and subsystem elements; Production of technical documentation to capture the system and subsystem designs including the architecture, interfaces and installation elements; Support the development of verification and validation artifacts including plans and procedures; Implementation and integration of the system and subsystem designs; and Resolution of technical issues arising during the implementation, integration and testing of the system and subsystem elements Key Requirements University or College Degree in engineering, information systems or a related field; At least 5 years of professional experience in the design and integration of complex systems in the commercial and/or military domains; Experience in one or more of the following: Tactical Data Links (Link 11 / Link 16) Command and Control (C2) solutions Radar integration Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to succeed on multidisciplinary teams; Positive attitude with solution focused approach; Ability to work in a collaborative environment while maintaining a strong awareness of commercial constructs; and Ability to obtain clearances as specified below under the Regulatory Compliance Requirements section Key Qualifications In addition to the minimum professional experience specified above, experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset: communication systems including cryptos, radios, SATCOM and IP telephony (VoIP); networking; Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)/Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) (e.g.

MIL-STD-461); and/or Emanations Security (EMSEC).

Physical Demands Minimal lifting of test and electronic equipment, connecting equipment in a lab environment or job site (including onboard vehicle or vessel).
