Senior Systems Engineer

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted December 1, 2019.

We have a client in Toronto looking for a Network Engineer who has worked in the Cloud Domain.

The Contractor will also be involved in managing the internal systems for the company.

The job may require some travel to the various data centers in the area but for the most part, work will be done in Toronto or home.

There is an opportunity for training as most of the technology used in the company will be leading edge.

Duties and Responsibilities: The position will require the following duties to be performed from time to time under the direction of the Infrastructure Team lead.

Design, installation, implementation and support of WatServ and customer network infrastructure including, but not limited to:
– Juniper Firewalls
– Citrix Netscaler load balancers
– Juniper Switch infrastructure
– PFSense routers
– Dell Switches
– Mellanox Switches
– Coordination of installation of customer Network equipment (MPLS routers, Meraki Firewall, etc)
– Azure Cloud Networking
– Google cloud networking
– an understanding of cisco products a benefit.

– Performance monitoring of all products
– configuration backup
– an understanding of key networking concepts (vlans, routing, HA Protocols, VPN configuration, etc)
– Complete lifecycle management of support incidents
– taking calls, managing tickets in our systems, coordinating resolution efforts with team members, communicating with customers.
