What will your typical day look like?

The Strategic Projects and Operations Lead will report to the Global Director, Advisory CoE Lead, within the Global People Organization. As the Strategic Projects and Operations Lead, you’ll be at the center of development and management of Advisory strategy as well as leading operations for Advisory related to execution of talent management projects, programs and processes. You will interface and collaborate across our Global People leadership team to represent the Advisory perspective and drive to the best delivery of programs and processes to our clients (such as Compensation, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Engagement and Retention, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, etc.) The Strategic Project and Operations Lead extends the Advisory CoE Lead’s influence and reach, and acts as a confidante and advisor, often serving as a sounding board for ideas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the CoE Lead, to improve operational efficiency of programs and processes as well as how the Advisory team delivers, solve problems, make decisions, and manage relationships; manage the offshore Advisory team as it relates to the execution of Advisory programs and processes
  • Proactively drive and/or oversee strategic projects (i.e., yearly client priorities planning, Advisory transformation priorities, etc), on the behalf of the CoE Lead to completion, track and follow-up on risks, accurately report progress against milestones to keep projects/initiatives on schedule while working with leaders across the People organization, other business units and various stakeholder groups within the Deloitte network
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to solve complex organizational and talent issues and develop solutions
  • Ensure the timely communication and flow of information among leadership and key stakeholders for projects/initiatives. Be an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques
  • Work with the CoE Lead to plan and organize business critical meetings, this includes setting the agenda and following up on action items. In addition work with the CoE Lead to support critical team engagement, culture and development activities for the Advisory team

Enough about us, let’s talk about you


  • 5-7+ years of experience in Human Capital or Strategy advisory or HR project management for a large, global, matrixed organization
  • Change management and workforce transformation, including implementation experience preferred, preferably on global projects/initiatives
  • Ability to be a problem-anticipator and work independently with minimum direction
  • Exceptional project manager, who is able to design and take initiatives from abstract to concrete
  • Able to manage competing, high-priority demands; prioritizing workload, managing projects and multiple responsibilities against strict deadlines
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook) to communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders
