About the Role As a Sr.

Software Engineer, you will: Build and Develop
– software applications by understanding user needs, writing well-designed code, conducting validation/testing and executing the entire SDLC from design through release Be a Team Player
– work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, share information, diverse value ideas, partner with cross-functional and global teams that power Reuters Consumer experiences, including content creation, curation, publishing, distribution, and eCommerce.

– responsible for performance, reliability and implement changes for improving the efficiency of a technical component About You You’re a fit for the role of Sr.

Software Engineer if you have: 5 years experience in software development using Java, RESTful webservices, HTTP, JSON, AJAX, XML, XHTML and Javascript 2 years of experience building applications with cloud-native/microservice architecture , including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment Experience with SQL and relational databases, Apache or other HTTP servers, Tomcat or other J2EE containers, Linux/shell script, and versioning system (e.g.

SVN, Git) Demonstrated best-in-class software engineering skills to develop secure, tested, optimized, scalable code.
