Senior Software Engineer


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted June 18, 2021.

Security and risk management leaders will need to meet tighter deadlines and test more-complex applications by integrating and automating AST in the software life cycle eliminating risk before it puts them at risk.

Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers and UX designers throughout feature development lifecycle.

Hands-on contribution to design, development, testing and deployment.

Senior JAVA Software Engineer Specific responsibilities include: Design, develop and test end to end product features Working across full-stack including APIs, micro-services and interactive user interfaces Advocate for change in quality, durability, reliability, and technical debt reduction Working directly with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and architects Revitalize services and architectures through refactoring, migration, and scale-ready, distributed architectural design Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to deployment and customer integration Key Qualifications: 6 years of full-stack software development experience Expertise in building micro-services and customer facing APIs Full-stack expertise and experience in JAVA technologies eco-system (spring, JPA, JMS…) JavaScript technologies (React, Angular, Ember…) Mastery in database technologies including RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Postgres / MySQL / Cassandra) Experience writing high performing queries Experienced with test driven development approach high standards of code quality, produces code that’s high quality, testable, reliable, performs at scale 2 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems Proven, real-world experience with implementing architectural patterns and operational best practices with microservices Expertise in algorithm design, problem-solving, complexity study, secure coding best practices and remediation Experience and skills using cloud & container technologies In-depth knowledge of object-oriented concepts and systems design patterns BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience At Synopsys, we’re at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
