About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who loves solving challenging problems and enjoys working in a collaborative environment as part of a diverse software developer team.

You will work with the best talent in the industry and will have no shortage of resources to solve challenging problems.

We take pride in embracing new tools as they emerge so you will have a chance to keep your skills polished.

It is our goal to have you releasing code to our production environments within the first two weeks.

The specific role we are looking to fill is on our Network Appliances team.

You will be a part of the team responsible for looking after the ever-growing fleet of managed network appliances we have scattered all over the world.

Notable challenges include coming up with innovative ideas and tooling to manage the ever-growing fleet of managed network appliances, always keeping the devices performant, optimizing software to get the most we can out of our hardware, supporting new hardware and adding differentiating features to our appliances.

Everything we do is done with security as our guiding principle.

Responsibilities: Write well organized, testable, and high performing code.

Identify and implement optimizations that help us, or our network appliances operate more efficiently.

Meet regularly with the team to review progress and share technical issues.

Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders within R&D.

Write clear and concise documentation.

Implement bug fixes and contribute to ongoing product maintenance.

Improve the resiliency of our test infrastructure and introduce new tests where appropriate.

Contribute to virtualization of our network appliances and related infrastructure as appropriate.

Collaborate with the team’s technical lead and architect to champion a vision for the team’s technical direction.

Required Skills and Experience: 5 years of experience with a high-level programming language, python or golang are preferred.

Working knowledge of source control system like GitHub.

Experience with using automated test tools.

Comfortable with using Linux tools to troubleshoot and identify system level problems.

Experienced with developing Linux native applications.

Experience with development using Docker.

Track record of being able to ramp up on a technology in a short amount of time.

Open mind and willingness to learn.

Bonus Points: Experience with network appliances.

Experience with performance testing of hardware.

Experience with virtualization of computer hardware.

Experience with development in AWS.

Experience with test frameworks and automated testing in general.
