This team is involved in several project scopes, so there are a variety of projects to get involved in What will you do?

Develop and support highly scalable, high performance components within an Agile development team Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market, and enabling continuous delivery Design and develop code structures to promote reusability across many applications Be open-minded and look beyond your stack to solve complex problems Proactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges Communicate effectively and distil technical details into human terms What do you need to succeed?

Must have: 4 years of professional experience in design, development, maintenance, and support of applications Relevant university, or post-secondary degree/diploma, ideally in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Business, OR 6 years relevant prior professional job experience Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – Agile and Iterative methods Self-motivated, able to manage time and work with minimal supervision Experience with any of: Java/JavaScript/Typescript/C++ Experience writing/understanding database queries (SQL and/or No-SQL) Nice-to-have: Experience with development using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.js/React/Node.js, or Java Frameworks like Spring (MVC, Security, JPA, and/or Boot), or experience with Apache Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Scala or other bigdata platform technology/tools Experience on Unix/Linux OS DevOps experience with continuous integration/delivery best-practices, technologies and tools such as Subversion/GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Urban Code Deploy, SonarQube, Checkmarx Experience with containerization tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Basic understanding of data science & machine learning models What’s in it for you?
