Job Summary Reporting to the Application Development Manager, the Senior Software Developer will be responsible for contributing to the analysis, design and implementation of Pharmacy Management software applications using Agile Scrum Methodology.

Utilizing a strong problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach to further the understanding of concepts, issues and problems), you will own and manage development deliverables and evaluate related risks and values.

A successful candidate will quickly grow to become an expert in Pharmacy management application design and development, and become responsible for knowledge transfer, mentoring and coaching team members in both development best practices and scrum.

Section A
– Specific Responsibilities Lead & drive Pharmacy Management System Product releases through Agile Scrum Methodology.

Design, implement and maintain web sites and services accessed by over 1000 locations across the country.

Develop solutions using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to create maintainable and extensible software.

Assist Product Specialists in providing detailed systems requirements and conducting users’ needs analysis.

Learn both new and legacy technologies, frameworks and platforms as needed.

Participate in the process of evaluating application architecture solutions in order to verify their design and ensure their adaptability to McKesson systems and policies.

Responsible for the technical design of Pharmacy Management System through the reviewing and understanding of high level functional requirements; collaborating with Product Specialist to define application design and estimating work efforts.

Propose modifications to system design and integration rules.

Develop application frameworks and services.

Suggest solutions and document the system problems and relevant design & code fixes.

Be accountable for the proper code merging & deployment, utilizing the source control system.

Mentor & coach development team; perform code reviews and coach best practices.

Conduct technical interviews for development positions.

Maintain confidentiality with regards to information being processed, stored or accessed, ensuring full compliance with company security and privacy policies.

Keep abreast of new technology trends and industry standards and communicate them to peers.

Section B
– Key Requirements A University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.

10 years in software design and development in C#, ASP.Net, XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript technologies.

7 years of data modeling and stored procedure development.

7 years utilizing SQL (e.g.

writing queries and stored procedures).

5 years developing web services and applying SoA patterns.

2 years working in Agile Scrum Development methodology.

Demonstrable experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex systems.

Previous experience with WPF and desktop application would be beneficial.

Extensive knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.

Working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

Solid understanding of modern Windows operating systems.

Working experience with 3rd party data sources and API’s.

Ability to listen and translate details into appropriate level of abstraction.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Strong work ethics and high level of initiative, constantly driving to achieve excellence.

Team oriented with capability to build and maintain strong inter-team and inter-departmental relationships.

Excellent time management with flexibility and creativity for engaging in competing priorities.

Strong verbal and written communications.
