Are you a Senior Project Specialist looking to provide your expertise to project management team(s), and learn and grow within a firm? What will your typical day look like?
Reporting to the Finance – BIM COE Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading Finance projects and training initiatives to improve processes, efficiencies, and quality.
As a Senior Project Specialist some of the duties will include but not limited to:
- Overseeing projects within the Finance BIM COE while working with other internal teams including internal Finance, CBS, ITS and Tax
- Gather project requirements and develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
- Actively drive projects to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget – escalate risks as required
- Drive deliverables and expectations with stakeholders
- Regularly report and present project status updates to leadership teams
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Overseeing training initiatives for CBS – Finance
About the team
You will be a part of the Chief Business and Finance Office (CBFO) within our Central Business Services (CBS) Finance team and report to the Senior Manager – Business Integration Management Centre of Excellent (BIM COE). The team is a group of highly motivated, strategic minded and dynamic individuals that support and deliver finance operations across the Canadian businesses.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone who is:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or IT and / or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years working experience in Project Management related to Finance transformation
- Project Management Professional (PMP)/ PRINCE II certification is a plus
- Experience with RPA and Automation Builds would be ideal
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of business and finance fundamentals including SAP and Swift
- Strong excel and reporting skills
- Ability to speak Spanish would be ideal
