Senior Project Manager – TELUS Health

As a highly experienced Senior Project Manager, you will oversee multiple implementations of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) across clients within Canada and use your experience to help continually build our practice in this area, injecting industry standards, templates, procedures and other methodology, to constantly improve quality and efficiency in the delivery of our system.

Here’s how you will make an impact and what we’ll accomplish together Using your extensive experience, you will work with a team of energetic, passionate individuals to continually build our HRIS implementation practice Working independently, lead and work with a team of HR and technology specialists, including third party vendors, to manage all aspects of a portfolio of projects across various customers in Canada, including (but not limited to): Providing guidance to teams to develop proper project charters and plans using established tools such as Microsoft Project Managing project plans, including financials and effort estimates, to ensure projects are implemented within budget and timelines Inject tools, templates and methodology to ensure the HRIS system is implemented to a high standard of quality using recognized and standardized industry best practices (for example, ITIL, Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Manage all project issues and risks through identification, assignment of ownership, resolution plans and dates as well as creating risk management plans Meet directly with project teams, customers and TELUS leadership to provide regular project status updates, including project financials Log and manage all project changes, such as scope changes, using industry best practices/change management protocols and documentation Candidates must be able to work independently, have high attention to detail with significant, proven experience and ability to manage all aspects of software implementation projects You’re the missing piece of the puzzle Post-secondary degree and minimum of 7 years of project management experience with software implementations required HR/payroll functional and implementation expertise PMP, CAPM and/or PMI-ACP certification preferred but not required Strong working knowledge of and/or experience with Human Resources systems and implementations a definite plus Expert-level experience in managing multiple projects of significant size and risk Highly advanced interpersonal communication and facilitation skills A customer-first attitude Superior skills dealing with change and ambiguity Strong leadership skills Strong attention to detail, with highly developed time management and organizational skills Highly versed in project management methodologies, principles and practices Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams A bit about us Our business is connecting Canadians.
