Senior Manager Asset Management Marketing and Experience

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted March 28, 2022.

Employee Status: Regular
Schedule: Full-time

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Ecosystem and Client Experience.

Your role will be to lead a multidisciplinary team of around 20 people working to implement and maintain IT applications. You will be required to guide and support your team and collaborate with IT partners to deliver major changes to the backlog.

We’re looking for an individual who has exceptional team management and collaboration skills that are recognized by their team as well as solid experience in asset management, and who is comfortable working on transformation projects. The successful candidate must also have an appetite for learning, be able to bring people together and have good organization skills.

Your main challenges:

  • Plan and direct activities related to IT assets
  • As a leader, manage, coach and motivate a multidisciplinary team focused on the delivery, development and sustainability of IT assets in order to meet the needs of the business line and the Bank’s orientations
  • Maintain good relationships and communication with the various stakeholders
  • Support the resolution of problems/issues with delivery and production processes
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Ensure the operational stability, delivery and development of technological solutions while complying with the various practices in effect and contributing to their optimization
  • Develop the capacities, agility and innovation needed to become best in class
  • Contribute recognized expertise in delivery management
  • Maintain portfolio information (applications, clients, hardware or software components, etc.) up to date in the various enterprise tools used to manage applications, configurations and inventories
  • Monitor maintenance requests until they go into production
  • Document the functional and non-functional requirements that portfolio maintenance and development projects must meet
  • Document the key indicators of portfolio applications with respect to their viability and operational performance (SLO/SLA, availability, response time, etc.) and financial performance (cost/benefit, TCO, etc.)
  • Periodically produce overviews (e.g., dashboards) of the progress and status of the ecosystem’s operational availability
  • Continuously improve the internal governance model (roles and responsibilities, reference guides, key processes, etc.)
  • Possess a sound knowledge of ecosystems in order to have a constructive dialogue and submit appropriate proposals to our partners
  • Be an agent of transformation and promote our values

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience or master’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Solid background in service management and delivery
  • Experience in managing personnel in a direct or matrix-based structure
  • Disciplined, results-oriented, skilled at negotiating
  • Good communication skills and ability to simplify issues, risks and business objectives
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)

Preferred skills:

  • Cooperative, rigorous and accountable
  • Able to plan and mitigate risks proactively
  • Superior ability to adapt to change
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Camunda and/or cloud applications
  • Good understanding of data.
