Senior IM/IT Business Analyst

Position Description:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a part-time permanent opportunity. Reporting to the CIO, the Senior IM/IT Business Analyst will provide analytical support to improve operational efficiencies for the Information Management Group. The Analyst must be conversant in technology and business disciplines to ensure that all IT related business decisions are supported by high quality analysis.

The Analyst will be required to support IMG management in operational and project decision-making by providing analysis such as but not limited to: project financial analysis, business case development, business planning, IT operational reviews, statistical trending and reporting, and general portfolio management. With senior leadership oversite, this role will develop and lead specific portfolio initiatives, prepare funding proposals, be responsible for preparing IMG operational and strategic presentations and documents and will be required to support IMG procurement activities. In addition, the incumbent must be able to perform third-party contract and service level management support. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.


The ideal candidate will possess a University Degree in Business or a related field. A Master of Health Informatics is desirable. Minimum three (3) or more years of business analysis or related experience in information technology /information systems and/or project management environment is required with a strong preference given to experience in healthcare or public sector environments. Prior contract analysis, business case analysis, proposal development experience and a proven ability to operate in a highly demanding environment is required. The incumbent will have strong communication and relationship building skills with previous experience working in a business support capacity. High proficiency in SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Please Note: This part-time (0.6FTE) permanent position is NOT part of any Bargaining Unit.
