Job Title Senior Director DevOps Job Description What’s the Opportunity?

The RBC Technology & Operations DevOps team is looking for someone like you Someone who is an outstanding leader in the DevOps space that will deliver strategic value horizontally across RBC.

In this role, you will report to the head of DevOps and lead a team of 30 exceptional engineers, operations analysts, and product leads to strengthen RBCs industry-leading homegrown DevOps platform.

You will be a visionary for the future of DevOps at RBC and be responsible for bringing the latest innovation and technology ideas to plan.

What will you do?

Define and maintain the RBC’s DevOps roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, defining measurable benefits to application development teams who leverage our DevOps offering Measure and track KPIs such as DevOps adoption and productivity improvements, focusing on on-demand reporting and alignment to RBC’s Technology strategic vision Implement cost management for initiatives ensuring effective return on investment and reducing the unit cost to deliver DevOps.

Communicating with vendors, suppliers, and executive management to ensure the availability of infrastructure technologies and support Meet resiliency targets and manage support tickets for 20 DevOps tools (Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, UCD, etc.) ensuring technology currency and high NPS results Deliver strong customer engagement through coaching engagements, community meet-ups, practitioner steering groups, focused user groups, and partner product management, groups Build strong relationships with RBC’s application development team executives ensuring we are meeting their team’s needs, and RBC Vendors to align strategy and roadmaps for key products What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 10 years of professional experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, product delivery, delivery prioritization, team management, expectation management, and drafting the statement of work.

5 years leading a team of engineers/ operations in a 24X7 uptime environment Strong technical skills and knowledge, including advanced knowledge and experience in DevOps tools/processes Ability to work collaboratively across teams and work independently to creatively solve problems Be an excellent communicator, negotiator, and translator who can connect technology and business audiences, tailoring messaging and approach Relevant education in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field What’s in it for you?
