We are looking for a passionate developer who can help design and develop Ontario Health’s digital health platform and next generation of applications.

This role requires a technically proficient developer who wants to have a direct impact on patients within the Ontario health system.

Your primary responsibilities include architecting, designing, coding and operationalizing Cloud native web applications that are used by hospitals across the province.

This is a unique role that provides an opportunity to: Participate in a fast-paced environment to build trusted web applications within Microsoft Azure Work on latest technologies such as: .NET 6, microservices, PowerBI, Azure Synapse, FHIR, etc.

At the forefront to build core health systems used across the province Here is what you will be doing: Proactively learn and adopt new technologies/industry trends and provide a modern technical vision for the project.

Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget during all phases of the delivery.

Applying risk-based approach to design and development; communicating to team, considering risks options for their mitigation within the constraints of the timeline.

Designing, developing and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards; ensuring design and build of solutions for speed and scalability.

Sizing, breaking down, and estimating development activities, in user points or hours.

Perform code reviews and walkthroughs of system design and developed code.

Researching and evaluating a variety of software products.

Collaborating with team members (developers, quality assurance and business analysts, project, and product managers) to elicit information and available documentation and build a common understanding of the target state of the system.

Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience 3 years of relevant technical experience developing web applications using the technologies listed below Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience Technical Requirements Working experience with Microsoft Azure technologies: Functions, Service Bus, Redis, APIM, etc.

Strong experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Strong experience with HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap and other UI frameworks Experience with designing, writing, and securing API endpoints Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD workflows, Docker, AKS Experience writing automated unit testing Experience with architecting and implementing microservices Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of software development and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Strong written and oral communication skills – must be able to communicate technical direction, discuss and incorporate stakeholder’s feedback, and communicate issues found and solutions clearly A team player with a deep commitment to contributing to team success Ability to work independently: self-learner, motivated, enthusiastic, and someone who enjoys learning new technologies Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Paygrade and Zone : 5C Location: Ontario (currently virtual; subject to change) All applicants must be a resident of Ontario to be considered for roles at Ontario Health.
