Description: Job Title: Senior Associate, Systems Engineer Job Code:CS20233101-96394 Job Location: Carlsbad, CA Job Schedule: 5/40 Job Description: L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Integration and Test Engineer to join our team.
This position will be based at our Carlsbad, CA facility.
Essential Functions: Using innovative techniques, creative drive, and detailed knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) and digital test, the L3Harris team works in conjunction with the design team and the EMC Features Certification Team (CT) to ensure our designs comply with requirements.
We generate descriptive papers explaining the operation of the Link 16 terminal being certified and the included EMC Features monitoring.
CT briefings explain our design, performance, and test methodology.
Detailed test procedures are developed around the test plan to verify the performance of the design, the procedures are verified to fully characterize the performance of our Link 16 terminal, and the tests are performed with the CT witnessing validation and certification efforts.
Finally, the test is documented and presented to the CT for certification.
With many terminal designs in development and planned, and planned updates to certified designs, L3Harris is expanding its EMC Features test team to support the multitude of efforts.
We are looking for a dedicated and multi-talented professional to join the test team and take on this detail-oriented test position.
You will bring your ideas and apply your innovation and experience to create new and modern test techniques.
Test automation will be a key contribution area in order to reduce test time and improve test consistency.
You will work with different customers within and outside L3Harris to ensure all requirements are met.
You will be challenged on a daily basis to ensure the success of current and future Link 16 terminal designs and continue to grow the L3Harris Link 16 business area Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Ability to move lab equipment up to 30-40 lbs.
Preferred Additional Skills: Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Experience in RF and digital tests including the use of spectrum analyzers, high-speed digital and mixed-signal oscilloscopes, high-performance RF signal generators, digital signal generators, logic analyzers Familiarity with RF components and test methodologies as may be required to facilitate instrument tests being performed Familiarity with programming and test automation tools (Python, LabVIEW, and similar) In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $72,000
– $134,000.
