Sales Executive, Professional Services (Financial Practice)

As part of an aggressive growth strategy, our Toronto office is seeking an experienced Sales Executive who can drive new business development and sales opportunities for our Financial Practice. With superior communication skills and a rolodex of existing relationships, this individual will be responsible for driving a quota in excess of a million dollars in a highly competitive marketplace. Reporting to the Senior VP, Ontario and Western Canada, this position includes hands-on involvement in all aspects of the sales cycle, from development of sales plans, lead generation, and through to closure. Proven experience with selling Microsoft Azure solutions is mandatory.

  • Develop and manage sales cycles from lead capture to sales closure;
  • Make cold calls when appropriate and follow-up on leads generated from marketing and networking;
  • Qualify sales opportunities to ensure optimal use of time and Alithya resources;
  • Lead introductory meetings with potential customers, including positioning Alithya’s value proposition;
  • Establish and build strong high-level relationships with new clients that will result in successful sales opportunities;
  • Use Alithya pre-sales and consulting resources effectively during the sales cycle;
  • Develop territory and strategic account plans;
  • Work with marketing to help develop lead generation programs and target marketing to specific verticals;
  • Maintain accurate and timely opportunity forecasting and customer information in the Alithya CRM;
  • Develop customer references, including drafting case studies when appropriate;
  • Some domestic and international travel as required.

Does this sound like you?

  • At least ten (10) years of experience selling strategic technology business solutions to enterprise clients in the financial sector (preferably Capital Markets);
  • Proven success selling IT consulting projects and services;
  • Experience selling Azure Cloud transformation projects;
  • Proven ability and methodical approach to identify opportunities and maintain key relationships;
  • Ability to:
    • hold conversations with senior business executives in capital markets, risk technology, treasury and wealth management.;
    • conceptualize and communicate solutions to all levels of an organization;
    • exceed a million dollar quota in a highly competitive market;
    • identify and understand business and technology challenges;
    • hold conversations with senior IT executives in the areas of application development, data integration, business intelligence and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
  • A “rolodex” of existing relationships to bring to the table, along with superior presentation, writing and public speaking skills;
