Take your ambitions to the next level Focused on the health sector, this project develops and manages solutions that automate transactions and the secure exchange of information to increase process efficiency and the quality of service of its customers.

As a QA Tester, you will ensure that the high quality delivery of our products is on time, while following our processes in place.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful QA Tester to work on a high complexity claim adjudication system that requires SQL, Web Services and Black Box testing skills.

Perform Functional, Integration and Regression testing across multiple platforms, application frameworks, GUI and backend applications within a Health Adjudication Product; Conduct manual testing on a complex system, utilizing claim log files and extracting data from the database to cross reference against expected results within test scripts; Design, develop and maintain test plan and test cases utilizing project documentation including business requirements and system design to fully ensure that the solution satisfies the needs of the business; Assist with creating and maintaining a library of comprehensive regression scripts and maintaining appropriate archival of QA documentation; Ensure issues and defects are logged quickly and accurately while fixed defects are promptly verified and closed; Collaborate with Developers, Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure that issues and risks are identified, logged and resolved; Create concise and informative status reports and detailed estimates on assigned tasks; Provide testing support for UAT and Production issues.

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a Computer Science related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Seven (7) years of experience in a QA role involving manual testing of complex medium to large scale systems; Seven (7) years of experience with test documents; Exceptional understanding of black box testing on multi-tier architectures; Strong understanding of database systems, proficient SQL skills, experience with Oracle and SQL databases; Solid understanding of SOAP Web Services; Experience writing and maintaining manual test plans, test cases and reporting test results independently; Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft suite: Win XP, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel; Experience in Claim Submission and UAT Testing; Detail-oriented; Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral; Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unforeseen requests; Excellent problem-solving, analytical and time-management skills; Prioritizes customer and team success over individual success; Knowledge of technologies such as Web Services, Java and GWT (asset); Experience in the Dental and Extended Health Care Claim Management sectors (preferred); Project experience in the Health Care industry and familiarity with health care standards (ideal); Comfortable with multitasking; Languages required: English: 4/4 34315 WHERE YOU NEED TO BE Life at Alithya 37.5 hours per week; Opportunities to develop and grow your career; Work with diverse technologies, projects, clients and sectors; Spend your days in a creative and innovative environment; Share experience and knowledge as part of an agile and dynamic team; A great balance between work and personal life; Access to exciting educational opportunities (internal, conferences, events, courses, certifications, etc.); Personal recognition of your important professional contributions; Great cultural diversity across our teams.
