Product development Programmer

This is a Full-time position in Drummondville, QC posted May 13, 2022.

Responsibilities Under the responsibility of the team leader, the role of the product development programmer is to participate actively in all stages of the production of new products and in the design / improvement of algorithms used for existing products.

Analyzes, develops and tests new products applied to wood processing under the directives of the team leader by following the development methods in place.

Design, develop and test new algorithms necessary for the creation of new products and / or the improvement of existing products.

Prepares, designs and writes procedures specific to new products for testing, installation, repair and service.

Train the employees who will support / maintain the new products.

Follows and applies the directives of the manager of standards and architecture in order to ensure that the new products meet the standards in force.

Follows and applies the directives of the quality control manager to establish the quality control criteria and procedures for new products.

Offers level 3 technical support to production teams Required Skills Bachelor of Computer Science or combination of training and experience deemed equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of experience in C programming for industrial applications Experience in the field of wood processing (an asset) Experience in software architecture (an asset) Knowledge of C programming (an asset) Knowledge of Agile methodology (an asset) Good writing skills Fluency in functional French and English at an intermediate level, both oral and written Experience in customer service (an asset) Professional Skills Strong analytical skills Ability to work in a team Respect of objectives and deadlines Interpersonal skills and strong ability to communicate Good problem solving skills Customer oriented A keen sense of organization, oriented towards results and quality
