Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, we aim to help children and youth reach their full potential.
We are seeking an SLP to provide assessment, direct treatment, and consultation services to a pediatric client population and their families. This role will deliver evidence-based therapies and multi-disciplinary approaches to health services and client care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate language disorders (oral and written) and speech disorders to determine the speech therapy treatment and intervention plan for children ranging in ages from 0 to 18
Plan, implement, evaluate and adapt speech language therapy services, goals and objectives to meet the specific needs of assigned clients, using theory, principles, best practices and treatment techniques
Maintenance of written records of the clients’ progress during intervention and preparation of written reports or the initial assessment and/or treatment plan for each client serviced
Provision of individual and/or small group intervention to clients on site at a CSS clinic
Assists in the clinical management and supervision of CDA’s
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registration with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a health related field
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience supporting pediatric groups for in-center or school-based rehabilitation services
Experience conducting formal and/or informal assessments of clients’ language abilities/challenges
Clear vulnerable sector check is required
Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday and travel between Mississauga & Toronto
