Occupational Therapist

Children's Support Solutions by TELUS Health

Independent Contractor
Toronto, Aurora, or Mississauga

Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team at our Children's Support Solutions clinic, we aim to help children and youth reach their full potential.

We are seeking an OT to plan, implement, evaluate and adapt occupational therapy services, goals and objectives to meet the specific needs of assigned clients, using theory, principles, best practices and treatment techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Formal and/or informal assessment of clients’ fine and gross motor skills, self-help, sensory processing, self-regulation, and play skills

• Preparation of written reports or the initial assessment and/or treatment plan for each client serviced

• Provision of individual and/or small group intervention to clients with social, motor and/or sensory processing difficulties on site at a CSS clinic

• Maintenance of written records of the clients’ progress during intervention in the form of a daily progress note, completed after each client contact

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Advanced knowledge in Sensory Integration is a plus

• 3+ years clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy doing assessment, direct treatment and consultation

• In good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists

• Minimum 4 hours/week of scheduling availability (evenings & weekends preferred)
