As a Software Developer in Optimization at NAVBLUE, you will be part of a friendly and talented team that applies mathematical optimization techniques to the planning of airline operations.

Who are we looking for:You are an ambitious optimization developer with a passion for aviation who will work together with us in developing new, as well as in maintaining existing, solutions to challenging optimization problems that arise in airline operations.

You have excellent communication skills in English, and you are expected to be able to communicate technical problems and solutions well to both technical as well as non-technical teams.

You are a great team player, and you embrace collaboration.

You have a strong background in applied mathematics, and you are familiar with mathematical optimization methods, such as Linear-, Integer and Mixed Integer Programming.

You should have experience in at least one programming language and be familiar with object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities:Apply and develop optimization techniques for the airline industry.Maintain and improve the current solutions.Participate in design discussions within the development team.Conduct code reviews.Ensure testability and implement suites for unit and other kinds of required tests for your new code.Assist the product team in defining and planning software development features.Assist the sales team in demonstrating optimization solutions to current and prospective customers.Use problem solving skills to make progress on implementation and overcome issues with very little or no supervision.Follow agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process.Required Skills/Experience: Knowledge about and practical experience in applying mathematical optimization techniques, such as constraint programming, linear-, integer, or mixed integer programming.Programming experience in at least one programming language and familiarity with object-oriented programming.Plus: C# or Java experience.Plus: Experience in working on a large codebase.Plus: Experience in working with an optimization solver such as Google OR, Gurobi, Cplex, or similar.Plus: Knowledge of Aviation Industry.Plus: AWS experience and certifications.Qualifications:
