MTS Software Development Engineer – Audio – 135948

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be involved in research, implement, and optimize new techniques to push the limits of AMD’s GPUs and CPUs and create technical demos to showcase the results, develop production quality code.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop and document core technologies for GPU-accelerated features and libraries on AMD platforms, including processing for audio, video, 3D rendering, and machine learning.
• Design and develop test applications to validate hardware and software functionality and quality assurance programs.
• Design, develop and integrate various algorithms into popular SDK and Game Engines.
• Research and develop new techniques that push the limits of AMD’s hardware.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience writing C/C++ code for Windows and Linux, knowledge of data structures, design patterns, language features, and writing easy-to-understand and maintain code.
• Have a solid understanding of real time computer graphics, GPU architecture and strong 3D math skills.
• Experience in GPGPU programming technologies.
• Practical hands-on experience with any graphics API development tools and techniques.
• Strong GPU code optimization skills, particularly shader code optimizations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• Experience with writing GPU shaders (HLSL, OpenCL, CUDA).
• Experience with DirectX 12 or Vulkan graphics APIs.
• Knowledge of video processing algorithms.
• Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Caffe, ONNX, etc.).
• Experience with Linux and Android is an asset.
• Experience with digital signal processing methods.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electric/Computer Engineering with demonstrated experience in software development
