Our work is guided by the Mozilla Manifesto.We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our Digital Engagement team and help us create digital experiences that connect with users on their journey through our web properties.

The Digital Engagement team is primarily focused on reaching a wide audience to build a grassroots movement of activists working to improve the open internet.The experiences you create as a Front-End Developer will be the first introduction for users to the Foundation and its mission.

Combining strong JavaScript and UX/ UI design abilities, you’ll collaborate with our design team to build and maintain our diverse portfolio of web properties.Key Responsibilities Design, build, deliver, and improve website front ends to inform and engage the Foundation’s audiences Maintain and improve a portfolio of multiple websites including an organization-wide content management system Manage our library of user interface elements Research and implement front-end development best practices and cutting-edge technologies Projects Formalizing our Figma design system in code with JavaScript and React components Creating beautiful digital campaigns, similar to Dear Internet or The Internet Health Report Collaborating with the design team to implement UX/UI improvements Adding new templates and content types to the Foundation’s CMS Improving our front-end build pipeline Evangelize design and development across the organization Essential Experience 5 years of experience in Front End Development or Full Stack Development with a UX/UI focus.

Experience maintaining production applications.

Proven expertise in vanilla JavaScript and JS Frameworks including ES6, State Management, and current best practices Deep experience with CSS, CSS Frameworks, and CSS preprocessors like SASS or PostCSS Ability to manage design complexity using best practices like BEM, Utility First CSS, Atomic Design, and Component driven design Strong communication skills Passion for learning, and continual improvement Experience with accessibility and responsive design.

We Are Excited To See Any Additional Experience With Experience with build pipelines like ESlint, Webpack, Parcel, etc.
