We're seeking an experienced Messaging Specialist to join our national Centre of Excellence. This is a full-time position with a target start at the beginning November 2020. Role Description: The Messaging Specialist will be a key member of a national team supporting a Compugen customer. They will be responsible for Operation, health, function, mailflow, patching, enhancement delivery, data analysis, trending, incident response, security, compliance, governance, documentation and supporting critical initiatives on M365 messaging and collaboration tools. Objectives include: Execute on the overall administration of customer messaging environments, including maintaining environment health and functionality, troubleshooting, problem management, account management, and monitoring.Maintaining a deep and current understanding of cloud technologies and collaboration tools such as M365, Teams, Teams Rooms, Teams Calling, Exchange, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, Azure AD, etc. Serve as an advisor in the assessment, planning and implementation of new features and capabilities.Gather and document requirements from stakeholders for messaging environments including Exchange, Exchange Online, Gmail Enterprise and others. Integrate or align Compugen processes to meet the governance objectives of the stakeholder community.Support Compugen management team with analysis and communication materials related to operational activities. Responsibilities and Deliverables Act as a senior administrator for customer messaging environments and coach junior team membersFacilitate requirements gathering sessions with technical and business stakeholdersDesign, construct and maintain all facets of messaging and collaboration solutionsPlan and Execute an end-to-end implementation of target workloadsMaintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging M365 and related core technologies and administrationAssist with the development of cloud design standards related to M365 applications as it applies to messaging and collaboration platforms and functionsMaintain a highly secure mobile messaging system through proper security configurations and governancePartner with business and technology stakeholders to establish, communicate, and maintain a reliable and secure email and messaging platform leveraging enterprise messaging and security toolsFollow a formal ITSM management process for incident and problem reporting and resolutionParticipate in critical event management when required by an eventDrive innovation by bringing forward thoughtful solutions and enhancementsSupport the evolution of the messaging platform through the design and implementation of new service featuresImprove internal efficiency and customer productivity by finding opportunities to optimize existing processes and toolsManage requests & incidents via ticketing systems Qualifications and Experience A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in data science, and/or computer science including training and/or experience in designing solution architecture in oil & gas technology domain: 5+ years experience as a Messaging Specialist in a Microsoft environment, supporting versions of Exchange on-prem and Exchange Online2+ years experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms including Teams, Teams Rooms, Teams Calling and SharePoint OnlineStrong background in Azure support including Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), AD Connect, etc.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance center, Cloud App Security and Microsoft DefenderKnowledge of multiple mail gateways, including ProofpointBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the related fieldITIL certification an assetMicrosoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (Exam MS-203) or equivalentStrong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in layman's terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholdersAble to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team memberAbility to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasksProven track record of successful requirements gathering and documentation using best practice standardsProcess and workflow engineering, design and implementation experienceExperience in technical documentation writing, including knowledge transfer, SOP, runbooks, KB articles and training materialsProject Management Office experience is an assetPrevious experience in senior roles in IT project delivery and operational environments is an asset #LI-RB1 Consistent with our commitments to equity and diversity, we actively recruit from all designated groups.
