Title Manager, Software Location Sandvine Waterloo Department Name Analytics & Cloud External Description Transform the way the world runs networksThe OpportunityAs a Software Manager for our OAM team, you will lead, manage, and mentor an engineering team developing the next-generation management software for our products running on Public & Private Clouds, Virtual, COTS, and Appliances.

You are an accomplished hands-on leader that can solve complex technical challenges while also capable of inspiring others and fostering a collaborative and sustainable team culture.

You will partner up with cross functional team members in UX, Product Management, Product Marketing and Customer Success to create and maintain all OAM related products.

You have a passion for building high quality software on-time all the time and you keep up with latest trends and best practices in the industry.The JobMentor and manage a team of engineers (front end and back end) throughout the software development lifecycleDefine, develop, deliver and maintain a variety of software applicationsResponsible for overall planning, execution and successful delivery of projects with quality on-time all the timeResponsible for delivering on all commitments on-time all the time with qualityResponsible for new innovations and efficiency improvementsContribute to architecture, requirements and designsContinuous improvement is part of our DNA, you are encouraged to find new ways of doing things that will continuously improve daily work for the team Responsible for performance management and coaching of the team members.This position would be based in Waterloo, Canada.What skills you bringBachelor’s or Masters (or equivalent) degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of work experience in Software Industry3-5 years as team lead or manager of a cross-functional engineering team3-5 years of hands on software development expertise1+ years of experience working in an Agile environment using ScrumDemonstrable knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cyclePrior experience in delivering scalable & robust software productsFluency in one or more programming languages including but not limited to JavaScript and JavaExperience with NETCONF and ConfD would be an assetExperience in Database Systems (SQL) would be an assetPassion for people, performance improvement and team buildingExcellent written and oral communication skillsSelf-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities.About SandvineNetworks are evolving, and operators need to keep up.
