About you: We are looking for individuals that thrive on getting the job done right, take ownership, and deliver.

Position Summary: As the Manager, Hardware Development, you will oversee a team of mechanical and electrical design experts.

This is a hands-on role with approximately 70% engineering development and the remainder mentoring and coaching the development team.

The expectation is that you build a high performing team that delivers leading edge hardware that supports our roadmap in a timely manner and helps us to build our position as a market leader in the fast-growing haptics space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as business needs arise): Lead our hardware engineering team by example and create a high-performing team, that is highly motivated and self-driven Take the electronics design through schematic, layout, prototype cycles, verification, and into production Select best in class components and document your designs through schematics, block diagrams, and technical design documents Work closely with other hardware engineers and multi-disciplinary teams (product, software, verification, etc.) to deliver the best systems Drive board level verification and validation activities Be hands-on in system level and board-level debugging of prototypes and in-market products Research and prototype new technologies for integration in customer products Some travel may occasionally be required (10%) Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities Required to Perform the Job: B.Eng degree in electrical engineering 5+ years leadership experience in electronics design, system engineering or similar A demonstrable passion for innovation, building and creating things Strong ability to work well with others Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills Required 5+ years as a Team Lead or 2+ years as a manager with direct reports Authorized to work in Canada
