Working Arrangement Hybrid Job Description The opportunity The Manager of Hardware Asset Management (ITAM) will be responsible for leading the global hardware asset management process and to lead a team of hardware asset management analysts who manage all in scope infrastructure and data center hardware assets.

The mandate for this exciting role will focus on the end-to-end lifecycle management of hardware assets from acquisition to decommission.

The incumbent will also be responsible for the administration of an agile and efficient process that encompasses planning, budgeting, purchasing, inventory tracking, allocation, refresh, optimization, disposal (ITAD), retirement, capacity planning, maintenance, and support.

The manager of Hardware Asset Management will be an integral part of the IT Asset and Configuration Management Team, ensuring that critical hardware asset details are accurately discovered and populated in the CMDB and are secure and risk free maintaining peak operations and support while in service.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of technical and enterprise-scale ITAM hardware and software leadership, and success in leading teams through transformational change.

The candidate will be passionate, persistent, and detail oriented with an ability to clearly articulate an objective view of the IT asset inventory, associated risks, and opportunities to enable business decision making.

Responsibilities Oversee the administration of financial budgets for hardware assets, peripherals, and some server specific software including forecasting and monthly reconciliation Co-manage and monitor procurement activities including purchase processes, evaluation, contract adherence, hardware terms and conditions to eliminate risk and exposure Identify and capture cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities for renewals, upgrades, software licensing, and services Ensure data completeness and quality standards are maintained in the CMDB Ensure all activities are compliant with standard reporting requirements and audits Build relationships across the organization with Finance, Sourcing, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Technology Governance, and other stakeholders Develop, document, implement, and maintain HAM governance processes, procedures, and policies Continually drive improvement in the ITAM process Define, create, and monitor HAM health reports, dashboards, and other reports that support auditing and compliance of ITAM Share best practices, cross-train staff and ensure that key team members are informed of the ITAM processes How will you create impact?

This role is key to Manulife’s digital transformation, including retooling and evolving the processes that manage our IT assets.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director, Hardware Asset Management and will be accountable for establishing, rolling out, and managing our next generation Global Hardware Asset Management practice for all IT assets.

What we are looking for 8 years’ experience managing IT assets in a complex, regulated, enterprise-scale environment
• Confident presentation and facilitation skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills to enable engagement with senior management and stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to create and effectively communicate a strategy for a variety of stakeholders and audiences
• Ability to identify and lead initiatives which develop, implement, and improve processes, procedures, and governance
• Experience collaborating successfully with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, third party partners, business units and technology departments across Manulife/John Hancock
