Lead IT Business Analyst – Private Markets Technology

Job Description The Private Markets Technology group has a critical role in enabling the growth strategy across Private Markets and the overall Global Wealth and Asset Management organization through digitization, modernization, data, and advanced analytics.

Reporting to the Assistance Vice President of Private Markets Technology, we are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and results-driven Lead IT Business Analyst to help execute technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders and develop analysis to support process and project improvements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing teams and vendor relationships, be the go-to-person for system related inquiries and initiatives, conduct feasibility studies, gather business, and resource requirements and prepare budget analyses as an example.

They will have strong interpersonal skills and deep understanding and knowledge of the business and willingness to learn and keep up with the industry.

Previous experience in the private equity & credit space or with real assets (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Timber & Agriculture) is highly desirable.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will have demonstrated experience in an IT project management/business analyst role, be outcome oriented and is highly organized and can lead a team to ensure successful delivery.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferably in computer science, business, finance, accounting, or related discipline.

CFA or CAIA designation preferred 4-6 years of relevant work experience with Institutional knowledge and experience with alternative asset classes ideally Private Equity and Credit Strong Word and PowerPoint skills Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders and balancing between day-to-day responsibilities and ad hoc requests with short turnarounds Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making competencies; ability to see the big picture as well as small details Proactive and takes initiative; ability to learn quickly, and identify and implement enhancements to existing processes Ability to work independently in a dynamic and deadline driven environment, and being flexible and adaptable when dealing with change Excellent professionalism, interpersonal and relationship building skills (e.g., working with senior leadership) If you are ready to unleash your potential, it’s time to start your career with Manulife/John Hancock.
