Job Description CPP Investments is recruiting for a full time Senior Technical Cloud Lead in the Platform Operations team.

The successful candidate will work in the IT Operations team leading a team of 3-5 professionals in the area of Cloud Operations.

This is a multi-faceted, hands-on role which requires both people and technical leadership in a highly dynamic environment.

The main job responsibilities include ensuring value-add service delivery and systems stability, identifying and delivering enhancements and collaborating with others to advance overall CPP Investments Technology systems and related processes in the public cloud domain.

Assist in the configuration and support of new environments; code deployments, optimization of costs and evaluation of various tools Architect and implement monitoring and logging solutions, identify performance and security issues pro-actively, and mitigate them to improve user experience Test, audit, review solutions to ensure a resilient, monitored, highly secure environment Contribute to continuous improvement of all operational aspects of public cloud and associated SecOps requirements Provides leadership in identifying and delivering enhancements (automation, consolidation, risk reduction, efficiency, cost-avoidance, etc.) to existing systems and processes.

Demonstrates strong partnerships with application teams and business stakeholders Oversight on operational practices/Service Management including Incident, Problem & Change Management Participates the project life cycle with IT teams ensuring well-planned, coordinated promotion to production and future support Assist in capturing data (KPIs) in application service delivery that will help drive continuous improvements and operational excellence.

Champions the continuous improvement culture through leading by example Manages vendor relationships for services and platforms, where applicable Be available for on-call rotation Qualifications If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you: University degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and AWS certification(s) At least 3 years of experience managing application and support teams, preferably in a recognized financial institution Demonstrated leadership abilities and proven capability to manage teams through change/transformation Proficiency in managing and supporting AWS Cloud environments Configuration management using Ansible, Terraform or similar tools Use of performance monitoring and alerting tools as it relates to cloud services Operational experience with CI/CD automation tools Experience building and maintaining CD/CD pipelines Strong experience in cloud data platforms, data infrastructure management and best practices; data lake and data fabric architectures Familiar with containerization and virtualization technologies Operational expertise in shell scripting and programming languages like Python, Javascript, Java, C# Knowledge of ETL tools and principles, and enterprise-level reporting technologies Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM purposes; dashboard/reporting knowledge is an asset Understanding of concepts and logistics in building and supporting DR-ready applications Excellent business acumen, written and verbal communication skills.
