We also reinvest 7% of our revenues in R& D ensuring a strong and vibrant future Come help us change the world For more information, visitwww.Knapp.Com.WHO YOU AREJob Summary:Employee must ensure that all tasks and job duties are completed in time to facilitate a successful start-up and an operational Knapp Warehouse Control or Management System (WMS/WCS) at the Customer Site on schedule.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Installation and setup of our logistics software at Customer SitesProgramming software customizations and adapting configurationsDeveloping queries and reports by accessing the software’s database (SQL)Organization, preparation and testing software at the office (Kennesaw/Atlanta) and at Customer SitesProject related work with customers, at Customer Site and in the officeSoftware engineering to discuss processesAdapting interface softwareSupport sales and project management teamCooperation with different international departments (Europe)Support of our customers during startup phaseTraining and support of customers on issues related to our software and logisticsRemote support of existing customersDocumentation and finalization of projects for handover to customer service departmentTechnical RequirementsKnowledge of C++ or Java developmentSQL and PL-SQL experience is requiredExperience with LinuxWork in a mixed Linux and Windows environmentKnowledge of one of the following scripting languages is a plus:Bash, Perl or PythonSolid understanding of network infrastructuresKnowledge and understanding of logistical workflows and processesKnowledge of current software development technologies and design patterns (OOA, UML, common patterns)Capability to create workflows and processes in written form and sequence diagrams, and to develop and implement accordinglyWillingness to travel (domestic and international, about 60%)Strong knowledge in one of the following fields:Database development; process development, UI/HMI developmentAuthorized to work in Canada and the USWorking Conditions and Environment:Overtime as required by workTravel is requiredAbility to travel by air both domestically (US) and internationally (primarily Austria and other parts of Europe, as well as Canada)Professional office etiquette is required at all timesAuthorization to work in the U.S.Passport or ability to obtain a passport
