DLS Technology Corporation is currently recruiting to fulfill a network administrator position in Ottawa.

As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and supporting DLS’s internal IT infrastructure or customer support.

You may also be called upon to contribute to other hardware and software projects.

We encourage you to come and be a part of the DLS Team today Responsibilities Analyze, understand, maintain, and document DLS’s IT end-to-end environment Be a single point of contact for all IT-related requests, issues and projects Provide support for day-to-day IT and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and security are functional on a daily basis Perform daily system monitoring and maintain system backups Troubleshoot and remediate urgent IT problems like system outages Participate and assist projects to plan, design, build and document new IT systems as needed Install local workstations, upgrades, patches and routine maintenance to ensure security and data integrity Provide new user network and workstation onboarding and training Manage hardware and software inventory Contribute to other DLS projects and activities, such as product design and QA, as requested Always maintain a healthy, professional, and respectful attitude and work environment Essential Qualifications Degree or diploma related to Information Services or equivalent work experience.

Required a minimum of 2 years related experience working in a professional enterprise IT environment Ability to learn and research quickly and independently about topics you are unfamiliar with Ability to apply your knowledge, experience, and research skills to solve complex problems Must have experience on common IT hardware like desktops, servers, VMs, peripherals, and how they interconnect Must have experience on Windows OS internals such as User profiles, registry, command-line usage, drivers, installations Must have experience on Microsoft Active Directory domain technology: users, groups, OUs, GPOs, shares, permissions Must have experience on virtualization technology experience, especially with Windows Virtual Server, VMware ESXi and vCenter Must have experience on networking fundamentals: cabling, switches, routers, VPNs, IP subnets, routing tables, Wi-Fi Aps, firewall Good experience on Azure cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure IaaS, Azure AD, virtual machines Produce and maintain technical documentation and diagrams using the MS Office suite and Confluence Excellent written and oral communication in English Assets Knowledge of secure remote access systems like Citrix Experience with the Linux operating system Software Development and scripting language skills Knowledge of SQL Databases Strong technical writing experience POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Start Date: ASAP Sector: Private Open positions: 1 Location: Ottawa (Currently remote, in office attendance will be required after ease of COVID-19 restrictions) Occasional after-hours work may be required Job Types: Full-time Language Requirements: English Security Clearance: eligible for Secret Status application Must be eligible to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Security Clearance: The Employee must be eligible to get Secret level personnel security clearance during the Agreement period.
