IT technician

CPU - Québec

This is a Contract position in Etobicoke, ON posted June 19, 2022.

Since 1984, CPU has been an IT industry leader in Quebec offering its expertise in technology, infrastructure, product deployment, technical support and professional services.

YOUR ROLE ?

The IT technician will provide maintenance, repair and tech support on a variety of equipment at our customers facilities in Etobicoke and its surrounding area.

The hired technician will have to:

  • Support and install POS systems, desktops, laptops, printers and self-checkout registers from different manufacturers;
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and/or software problems in a timely, thorough and accurate fashion;
  • Stay involved until the problem is resolved.

Your profile

  • Technical diploma/post-secondary education in electronics/computers/IT;
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience servicing computer equipment;
  • Strong problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills;
  • Superior customer service and communication skills;
  • A valid driver’s licence and vehicle (mandatory);
  • Ability to travel occasionally;
  • Be available to work on a flexible schedule (nights and weekends are a possibility).

Your assets

  • OEM certifications from IBM, HP, Dell, Citrix and Microsoft;
  • A+ certification.
