IT Technical Support Technician Level 1, Remote work from home

WORK DESCRIPTION: We have an exciting, permanent full time work-from-home opportunity for a Weekend Shift position at our Montreal office (Saturday 12:00
– 12:00am, Sunday 12:00
– 12:00am 2 days during the week on 2nd shift).

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a client service role within an energetic and friendly team-oriented virtual Corporate environment.

This position carries with it a great deal of responsibility which requires someone who can work with very little supervision, but can still maintain a high level of resourcefulness and strict adherence to procedures.

Multitasking is a critical skillset that is needed for this role as well as sound organizational skills.

Since this is a work-from-home position, having a stable internet connection and an ideal segregated workspace in your place of dwelling is essential to the success of this role .

Our Level 1 technician is the primary interface with the end user client for all technical issues and is responsible for monitoring infrastructure and customer’s devices, troubleshooting and resolving problems while communicating solution/updates to the end user and technical teams as outlined in our standard operations procedures.

CARACTERISTICS OF IDEAL APPLICANT:
– A minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a Level 1 technical role;
– Experience with server/application monitoring (Level 1) is highly preferred
– Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite/O365 and general knowledge of Windows server 2008/2012/Exchange/SQL, etc.;
– Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment;
– Ability to follow processes and possess good documentation skills;
– Candidate should be well organized and possess good customer service skills;
– Willing to learn and grow technical knowledge;
– Fully bilingual French & English (written, spoken), English stronger, Spanish is an advantage.
