IT Operational Risk Analyst

CGI Group

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 14, 2022.

Position Description:

”What will you do?

• Develops and executes the Data Analytics plan for the team with focus on effectiveness and efficiency to continuously improve control environment following a risk-based approach. Acting as subject matter expert in Data Analytics supporting the team and larger Portfolio Strategy and Planning team
• Plans and executes a comprehensive and proactive control test program following a risk-based approach (focus on SOX/SOC1 and Crown Jewels)
• Supports the collection and maintenance of evidence of controls’ effectiveness to respond to audit and regulatory requirements
• Identifies, recommends and implements Data Analytics initiatives to support Risk Governance and Monitoring via control testing
• Produces regular governance status reports in Tableau highlighting control effectiveness and recommended actions
• Identifies opportunities for successful operationalization of existing controls and proposes new controls to address emerging IT risks
• Supports the continuous improvement of metrics, measurements and performance discipline
• Supports a risk aware culture by delivering and communicating the control testing program to improve risk profile
• Operational IT Risk role, assess & review risk levels
• Extensive use of Tableau and excel, pivots, data analysis

Type of skillset were looking for:

Must-Have:
• 2+ years of hands on experience with multiple database technologies and experience creating data pipelines for real time reporting
• 2+ years’ experience with Tableau, Python, R
• 1+ years’ experience with modern automation technologies such as RPA
• 2+ years of Financial Industry experience
• Post-Secondary Education in any of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Project Management
• Experience in ITIL, COBIT or any industry standard framework for IT Service management
• Strong background in Microsoft Office suite with focus on MS Excel

Nice-to-have:
• Experience with SharePoint, Jira, or Confluence
• 2+ years of IT Operations, Infrastructure (UNIX/Windows) and Service Management
• COBIT/ ITIL certification or willingness to pursue certification
• IT Risk Management certification or willingness to pursue certification
• Audit and IT risk compliance background preferred
• Experience in creating risk frameworks and performing risk assessments
