Reporting to the Director of Administration, the IT Manager is part of the management team with a role that provides strategic and operational leadership to the full range of IT functions for the A.L.P.A’s group of companies.

We are looking for an IT User Support Manager to lead our IT service team. Your mission critical goal is to ensure that customer service remains unmatched while we evolve our service offering for future IT needs.

This new role is responsible for optimizing the IT department function and supporting the organization as it evolves, developing/optimizing IT policies, practices and programs. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a dynamic, growing organization.


  • In managing, coaching and co-ordinating employees, activities, and resources in order to minimize downtime and to optimize experience;
  • In providing input to the strategic direction of the department in order to meet changing needs;
  • In managing and co-ordinating with end users in mind, the IT change management;
  • In providing users with a single point of contact for all their IT-related questions and issues;
  • In collaborating with cross-functional teams for incident resolution processes, change management, risk management and business continuity plan, and internal process optimization to promote best practices;
  • In promoting ongoing relationship with different levels of management;
  • In enhancing the relationship with other departments;
  • In collaborating in the establishment of a Business Intelligence service;
  • In participating in optimizing of departmental policies and procedures;
  • In ensuring the achievement of the department business goals by creating and measuring the customer service standards and ensuring procedures are followed.


As the ideal candidate, you are fluent in both official languages, have a successful track record in a discipline of Information Technology, a post-secondary diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field; and three (3+) plus years of experience managing human resources functions.

You have a well-earned reputation as a problem solver and the ability to motivate your team to achieve specific goals.

You excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and where effective multitasking is essential.

You have the ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner, can confidently present reports to stakeholders, and make recommendations based upon thorough analysis and reliable risk assessment.

You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, to interact directly, with leaders across departments as well as providing leadership to the team on the implementation of new initiatives.

You enjoy, working both at a strategic and hands-on level and can identify opportunities for improving efficiency and service.

You build strong relationships by creating open, honest and fair environment.

You are convincing, astute savvy and detail oriented, with excellent analytical and problem solving.
