Information Security Analyst, Cryptographic Operations

The Team Scotiabank’s Cryptographic Key Issuance Team is responsible for key issuance and operations performed in the Cryptographic Production Centre.

This team supports issuance of top-level keys for the bank, while ensuring that processes adhere to best practices, bank standards and regulatory requirements.

The Role The Information Security Analyst provides day-to-day operational support for Cryptographic Key Issuance.

This includes crypto keys for IBM z/OS ICSF, AS400, as well as HSMs (Hardware Security Modules).

Primary responsibilities include: Actioning varied key issuance requests by coordinating/scheduling key activities, following the documented processes and ensuring that the requests are fulfilled within defined service level timeframes.

Providing after-hours on-call support Participating in annual regulatory audits by providing key activity evidence.

Performing administration tasks such as maintaining operational documentation, key inventory & custodian records.

Participating in projects as needed Is this role right for you?

You have relevant IT operational task management experience: e.g.

coordinating & scheduling activities, Queue management, providing afterhours support, and escalations related to cryptographic services You take accountability for the entire end to end operational workflow.

You like to collaborate with other teams
– within the group, as well as IT partners & various business lines.

You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You are available to carry a pager to support operations.

You want to work closely with management to provide input roadmaps, strategies and tactical plans to improve the security posture of the bank.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

You have hands-on IT operations experience.

Working knowledge of IBM Mainframe and/or AS400 would be an asset(s) Knowledge of Cryptographic related solutions (Symmetric Crypto keys, Hardware Security Modules) would be an asset(s) You possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, attention to detail, strong organizational & planning ability Strong knowledge of MS tools (Teams, Sharepoint, O365) and Confluence is considered an asset Post-secondary education in a related technology field or relevant work experience Security certification(s) (e.g.

CISSP, CISM, Security or others) would be an asset(s) What’s in it for you?
